Jenna Leigh West

Appalachian Systems Builder

Appalachian roots. Practical systems. Tools that work.

About

Founder. Lead Engineer. Systems Architect.

Jenna Leigh West is the founder and lead engineer behind WRENTECH, a custom systems and software studio building websites, AI tools, automations, intake flows, dashboards, and business infrastructure.

The work is simple: find the bottleneck, build the tool, make the system easier to run.

She came to technology through necessity, pattern recognition, and a refusal to accept broken systems as permanent. Her background spans early childhood education, anthropology, sociology, private childcare, legal and real-estate support networks, AI research, and full-stack build work.

01

Custom Software Builds

Websites, client portals, intake systems, dashboards, internal tools, and AI-powered workflows built around the way the business actually runs. Good for: service businesses, creators, founders, local operators, and teams tired of stitching everything together by hand. Format: scoped build, flat quote, launch support, and practical documentation. Tap to open or close

02

AI & Automation Strategy

A practical map for where AI belongs, where it does not, and which automations will save real time instead of adding another dashboard to ignore. Good for: lead handling, document triage, content workflows, CRM cleanup, research, customer support, and operations compression. Format: audit, architecture, prototype, or full implementation. Tap to open or close

03

Technical Translation

If the system is confusing, slow, or scattered across forms, files, platforms, and people, Jenna turns it into a map and then a working tool. Good for: messy documents, operational handoffs, client onboarding, compliance flows, and business processes nobody has written down. Format: diagnostic, workflow map, plain-language brief, and build plan. Tap to open or close

The Proof

No conventional ladder. A real build record.

From classrooms and court-adjacent networks to rural operations and AI systems, she learned to read the room, map the pressure, and build the tool.

Pattern Literacy

Fast recognition of what is broken, what is missing, and what the system is really doing.

Systems Thinking

Working knowledge across human, technical, operational, and biological systems: how things function, interact, and respond.

Art and Making

Painter, sewer, maker across acrylic, watercolor, fabric, found materials. How she thinks and transmits.

Systems Decoding

Any system — legal, institutional, family, creative, digital — read its structure, find the leverage points.

Operations Experience

Private childcare, professional networks, real-estate paperwork, client communication, and the messy middle where tools need to work.

Technical and Adaptive

Self-taught across AI, digital tools, research, deployment, automation, and practical software architecture.

"I decode systems - legal, institutional, business, creative, digital - and then I build the part that should have existed already."

Art and Vision

Made by Hand. By Heart.

Acrylic, watercolor, found materials. The studio is where she thinks. The paintings are how she speaks.

How I Work

How a WRENTECH build moves.

Every engagement starts with the business problem. Then we scope the tool, quote the work, build the smallest useful version, and support the launch.

01

Diagnostic

We identify the bottleneck, the audience, the workflow, and the money/time leak before naming a build.

  • Problem brief
  • Current-state map
  • Risk and dependency check
  • Recommended build lane
02

Scope

You get a fixed direction: what we are building, what it must do, what is out of scope, and what it should cost.

  • Build requirements
  • Content and data needs
  • Timeline
  • Flat quote
03

Build

Jenna builds the site, tool, automation, AI layer, intake flow, dashboard, or technical map.

  • Implementation
  • Responsive polish
  • Forms and integrations
  • Working prototype or live build
04

Review

We test the public path, contact path, mobile experience, copy, and any backend handoffs before launch.

  • QA pass
  • Revision round
  • Accessibility and speed check
  • Launch checklist
05

Launch

The build goes live, DNS and deployment are checked, and the first-response path is confirmed.

  • Deployment support
  • Domain check
  • Contact test
  • Go-live confirmation
06

Support

The work can stay simple or grow into maintenance, marketing ops, new automations, or a larger software system.

  • 30-day support
  • Maintenance options
  • Retainer path
  • Next build map

Questions

Frequently Asked

Click any question to open the answer.

What do you actually build?

Websites, landing pages, intake systems, client portals, dashboards, AI helpers, automations, document workflows, and custom software tools. The common thread is practical infrastructure for businesses that need the work to move faster.

How long does a software build take?

Rapid sites and intake tools can move in days. More custom software or AI builds depend on scope, integrations, data, revisions, and whether the business already has usable content. Every build starts with a diagnostic so the timeline is honest.

How much does it cost?

WRENTECH publishes flat-fee lanes: diagnostic/audit work starts around $497, rapid sites start around $1,500, market intelligence reports start around $3,500, business builds commonly land in the $3,500-$8,000 range, and larger software or AI systems are scoped per project.

Do you work with neurodivergent clients?

Yes. Neurodivergent clarity is part of the build philosophy: plain language, clear hierarchy, less noise, predictable flows, and systems designed for how real people actually think under pressure.

What is The West Method?

The West Method is Jenna's pattern-recognition and systems-mapping framework. In the WRENTECH lane, it shows up as fast diagnosis, careful question design, workflow mapping, AI prompt architecture, and tools built around human behavior instead of generic templates.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. I sign NDAs for all software development and sensitive consulting work. Confidentiality is standard, not an add-on. What you share with me stays with me.

Can you audit what I already have?

Yes. A diagnostic can review your current site, SEO/GEO visibility, customer path, lead capture, forms, CRM handoff, AI readiness, content structure, and where the operation is losing time or revenue.

Can you build AI-powered applications?

Yes. AI integration is a core part of the work: custom assistants, intake analysis, document processing, research tools, governed workflows, prompt architecture, and practical automations that do a specific job.

Do you offer ongoing support after a project?

Yes. For software: I offer ongoing maintenance, updates, and support packages. For consulting: I offer follow-up sessions and check-ins. Nothing I build is meant to be handed off and forgotten — it is meant to work, and if it stops working, I want to know.

Where are you based? Do you work remotely?

I am based in rural Tennessee and work entirely remotely with clients across the US and internationally. Time zones are not a barrier. I respond within 24 hours on business days.

What systems do you decode — what does that mean exactly?

Business, legal, medical, educational, financial, institutional, creative, and digital systems. A system is any set of rules, relationships, tools, documents, and handoffs that shapes what people can or cannot do. I read the structure, find the leverage, then build or explain the next move.

How do I get started?

Fill out the contact form, email wren@wrentech.net, or start at wrentech.net. Tell me what you are trying to build, fix, automate, or make easier to run, plus your timeline. I will respond with the next practical step.
